Presentation and Interactive Discussion about Reimagining Capitalism... in a World on Fire Wednesday, November 13th, 2024  7:30pm - 10:00 pm  Free markets and unbridled capitalism have led to increasing wealth, but also inequality and environmental destruction. How can we handle the world's depleting resources while keeping the benefits of free markets?  Can we reimagine capitalism so that it becomes a driving force for a healthier and more equitable planet?  The Harvard Club of France and HBS Club of France are delighted to invite you to join renowned Professor Rebecca Henderson, Jack & Natty McArthur University Professor, Harvard University, to discuss these urgent issues, in a world on fire. This event will be interactive, with a short presentation and plenty of time to exchange with Professor Henderson in a privileged fashion. Rebecca M. HendersonJohn and Natty McArthur University ProfessorRebecca Henderson is one of 25 University Professors at Harvard, a research fellow at the National Bureau of Economic Research and a fellow of both the British Academy and of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. She also has more than twenty-five years of major public board experience. Rebecca’s research explores the degree to which the private sector can play a major role in building a more sustainable economy. Her publications include Accelerating Energy Innovation: Insights from Multiple Sectors (University of Chicago Press), Leading Sustainable Change: An Organizational Perspective (Oxford University Press) and Political Economy and Justice (University of Chicago Press).
