Are you writing a book? Just started blogging or setting up your first Substack? Keen to make your contribution in sharing your ideas for a better world? Or perhaps you are experimenting with poetry, fiction or short-story writing and generally trying to ‘find your voice’ as a writer? We have the perfect support group for you! The Harvard Club of France is starting an online bi-monthly writing group as a supportive community for all those embarking on a writing journey, whether that’s fiction or non-fiction, blogging, essays, articles, opinion pieces or other long-form content. We seek to support and learn from each other with regular peer-led workshops on a range of topics for writers, small group breakouts to get feedback on your own writing, and practical tips and tools to help you get your work out there in the public eye. No need to be a published author, this is for anyone and everyone who would like to improve their writing in a supportive and generous community. Come prepared to share a piece of your work (about 1000 words) with others, we will use Liz Lerman’s Critical Response Process for constructive – and kind! – feedback. The workshop is free, open to the Harvard Club of France active members and other IVY League Schools’ active members only. Registration is compulsory. |
